Natural Hair | Twist and Curl feat. Wonder Curl

Hey Everyone,

Recently, I teamed up with Wonder Curl and had the opportunity to try out a few of their products to share with you. I was super excited about the collaboration because not only are the products super
organic and free of harsh chemicals and parabens and all the not so good stuff, but the owner Scarlett is super sweet, genuine, and really believes in her brand and what it stands for. She’s a one woman team and still creates her products by hand, so this is a labor of love to her. I really admired that about her and really wanted to team up. So, for the past few weeks I’ve been trying out her products and really  putting them to the test and trying them out in different hairstyles.

In my first video and review, I decided to bring you all my Twist and Curl hairstyle.  I featured the following products.

•  Detoxifying Clay Cleanser is a gentle cleanser that helps to detangle the hair while it removes dirt and build-up from both the hair and scalp. It contains Kaolin Clay which helps to revitalize dry
and itchy scalps.  It also includes shea butter, avocado butter, olive oil, safflower oil, and castor oil which are all proven to be beneficial to the hair and scalp. This product is rather thick and took me a minute to get used to, because it isn’t your typical cleanser, but it really did leave my hair feeling super soft and clean once it was rinsed out.

•  Restoring Hair Treatment is an intensive deep hair treatment that helps to strengthen the hair and provide moisture into the hair. It contains many great ingredients such as, olive oil which penetrates
the hair cuticles and helps deposit moisture, avocado which helps promote hair growth and stop hair loss, shea butter to aide with dryness and a host of other oils and hair vitamins that all helps to stimulate growth and maintain moisture.  This product is creamy and coats the hair rather nicely and helps with the detangling process as well.

•  Butter Than Love Pudding has aloe barbedensis leaf juice, castor oil, and shea butter in it.  It is free of harsh chemicals and is also fragrance free.  This butter helps by providing moisture without
weighing the hair down, so it is ideal to use when layering products and is great for wash’n’gos as well as twist-outs and braid-outs. I love the fact that it is light weight and that a little bit of the
product goes a long way.

•  Get Set Hair Jelly has organic aloe juice, pro-vitamin B5, and even contains vegetable glycerin.  It is also Paraben, Sulfate and Silicon free. This styler instantly smooths away frizz and adds shine to the hair all while giving any style great definition. This product is ideal for wash’n’gos as it will help you maintain the style for many days and is also great for twist-outs and braid-outs with the definition it provides. It will say that the product does feel a bit sticky on the hands, but once you apply it to the hair it melts into the hair and doesn’t leave any residue.  This product will be a staple for me when I do my wash’n’gos. (More to come on that a little later,so stay tuned)

Hey Everyone,

I've been a huge fan of The Mane Choice product line for quite some time.  I especially love their Green Tea & Carrot Deep Conditioning Mask, Doesn't Get Much "Butter" Than This, and of course the Manetabolism PLUS Hair Vitamins. Their products are designed with the health of your hair in mind and contain a lot of natural ingredients and key ingredients that help to promote and stimulate healthy hair and growth. Their products are ideal for all hair types and work for both naturals and those with relaxers.

In this video, I decided to use the shampoo and conditioner from their Give It To Me Straight Collection, as well as, the Doesn't Get Much "Butter" Than This hair butter.

  • Give It To Me Straight Moisturizing Shampoo is infused with Morrocan Argan Oil for incredible shine and frizz control and citric acid to remove build-up and restore pH balance to hair and scalp. It has an a lot of slip that aids in detangling. The smell of this conditioner is consist with the shampoo.

  • Doesn’t Get Much “Butter” Than This has avocado and mango along with shea butter, vegetable glycerin, coconut oil, castor oil, broccoli seed oil, carrot butter, and grapefruit and orange essential oils. This combination of ingredients helps to lock in moisture, add shine, and will aid with simulating growth.  This butter is not only great for your hair strands but has been proven to help grown back balding areas on the scalp if applied to those problem areas few times a week.

My Newest Vitagoods Hair Care Tool

    Hey Everyone,

I wanted to tell you about my newest Vitagoods Hair Care Tool, that helps remove product built up, helps promote healthy hair growth, helps with blood circulation on the scalp by providing a gentle massage, and helps to remove dead/dry skin cells.  This little magical tool is the Vitagoods Scalp Invigorator Brush.

This palm size hair tool is battery operated (1 AA Battery) and has rubber massagers that will give you the ultimate scalp massage.  This tool is water proof so it is safe to use in the shower or bath and is ideally used on wet hair while shampooing or on dry hair accompanied with some oil (coconut, black castor, olive oil etc...) to soothe the scalp and create that blood flow that is vital for healthy hair growth.

I have been using it on wash day to remove product build up and dead/dry skin cells so my scalp would have a nice clean fresh start for the week.  I also use it at least twice during the week with coconut oil to generate blood circulation on my scalp which will help with hair growth.  You can also use it with Tea Tree Oil or Black Castor Oil to help soothe an itchy scalp.

Younique Beauty | 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara Review

    Hey Everyone,

I am sure most of you ladies have probably heard about the Younique Beauty 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara.  It is the hottest mascara currently on the market that according to their website is supposed to, "Dramatically enhance and magnify the appearance of your own lashes".  Well....when the opportunity presented itself for me to try it out I certainly couldn't turn it down.  I really wanted to see what all the hype was about.

I have been wearing falsies (false eyelashes) a lot lately and really have been tired of the glue and just the entire application process of the false lashes. I'm really not that great at it!  I thought if this product was as magical as the reviews have lead me to believe, this mascara could replace my need for the falsies and could help me save my real lashes in the process.

The Mascara comes with (2) items, the Moodstruck Transplanting Gel and Moodstuck Natural Fibers. Those two items coupled together are designed to great voluminous and longer lashes that are waterproof.  You start off by applying a coat of your favorite mascara, followed by the Transplanting Gel and before the Gel dries you should apply the Natural Fibers and seal them in place with another coat of the Transplanting Gel.  You would repeat the process of applying the Transplanting Gel, Natural Fibers, and Transplanting Gel however many times needed to get your desired look.

Check out my before and after pics below:

                                                                     BEFORE                                                   AFTER

3D FIBER LASHES MASCARA        REG MASCARA

As you can see, the 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara really did provide thickness, fullness, and length to my real lashes after applying only (2) coats.  You do have to be careful and take your time when applying this product.  The Moonstruck Natural Fibers can clump up and stick together giving your lashes a clumpy finish, which is not appealing.

Overall, I am very pleased with this product and the results it gave for my curly lashes. I also, like the fact that it came off easily with soap and water. Regular mascara tends to not want to come off these lashes of mine.  If you are someone who likes long/dramatic lashes this may be a good product for you to try out.  Would I use this product daily? Hmmm....probably not.  There are too many steps to repeat which takes up too much time in the morning. However, I would use this if I am going out to an event, having date night, or filming one of my YouTube vids.

If you would like to know more about this product or would like to order some, please contact Randi Martinez at randimartinez22@gmail.com or you can check out her website at www.youniquebeautybyrandi.com

If you have tried it, I want to hear from you.  Let me know your take.  Is it a must have? How often do you use it? etc.... Leave your comments below.

Nanacoco Lip Gloss "Show and Tell"

Hey Everyone....I wanted to share with you my new beauty find, that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!!

They are these gorgeous lip glosses by Nanacoco, that I purchased from my local beauty supply store.  That is right ladies..... my local BSS!!!

I was first introduced to these by Michael Harris of www.michaelharrisbeauty.com, one of my favorite makeup artist here in Oklahoma.  He used them on me for a few photo shoots that I had.  See the pictures below. I was definitely peeping out what he was using, because I loved the way it looked on me.

Well, I was super excited when I recently found them when I made a bss run a couple of weeks ago. When I first bought them, they cost $1.99 each.  I have since gone back to purchase more and now they are selling for $2.49 each  It still think that is a great deal!  I would compare these to the MAC lipglass which would run you about $15 each.  These have the same consistency, last for a long time, and have great pigmentation.   Check out my pictures below.

                                                                                                     Natural Light

    White Light

                                                     HIDDEN DESIRE                                                       LOVE AFFAIR

    MYSTERIOUS

As you can see below, there are tons of colors/shades to chose from that will compliment every skin tone.  You should be able to hunt them down at your local bss, but if you aren't so lucky, you can find them on Amazon.com. They are a bit pricer, but they are still a great buy at roughly $4.

Have you used these before?  If so, what are your thoughts on them? What is your favorite shade? How do they compare to the MAC Lipglass?

    Until Next Time,
    Take Care and God Bless!!

    Pantene Cowash Cleansing Conditioner Review

Hey Everyone....I am sure you have heard about or have seen the Pantene Truly Natural Hair Line in your neighborhood store.  I definitely noticed it, but wasn't looking to try anything new as my staples have been working perfectly fine for me. I was a huge fan of Pantene products when I was relaxed, but haven't used them since.

Well.....I kept hearing ladies rant and rave about the Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner, so I decided to put my Tresemme Naturals and Aussie Moist to the side and give it a try.

I must say, that I was truly impressed by the way this co-wash cleansing conditioner got my hair really clean and kept my hair super moisturized.

I absolutely love the smell of this product and the consistency of it.  I have been using it for over 2 months now and I have no complaints about it. The product is affordable and can be found at your local Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc... so it is easily accessible.  I will def consider adding this product to my favorites list.

Have any of you tried this product? If so, what are your thoughts? I would love to know, just leave me a comment below.

    Until Next Time,
    Take Care and God Bless!!!
