Natural Hair | Twist and Curl feat. Wonder Curl

Hey Everyone,

Recently, I teamed up with Wonder Curl and had the opportunity to try out a few of their products to share with you. I was super excited about the collaboration because not only are the products super
organic and free of harsh chemicals and parabens and all the not so good stuff, but the owner Scarlett is super sweet, genuine, and really believes in her brand and what it stands for. She’s a one woman team and still creates her products by hand, so this is a labor of love to her. I really admired that about her and really wanted to team up. So, for the past few weeks I’ve been trying out her products and really  putting them to the test and trying them out in different hairstyles.

In my first video and review, I decided to bring you all my Twist and Curl hairstyle.  I featured the following products.

•  Detoxifying Clay Cleanser is a gentle cleanser that helps to detangle the hair while it removes dirt and build-up from both the hair and scalp. It contains Kaolin Clay which helps to revitalize dry
and itchy scalps.  It also includes shea butter, avocado butter, olive oil, safflower oil, and castor oil which are all proven to be beneficial to the hair and scalp. This product is rather thick and took me a minute to get used to, because it isn’t your typical cleanser, but it really did leave my hair feeling super soft and clean once it was rinsed out.

•  Restoring Hair Treatment is an intensive deep hair treatment that helps to strengthen the hair and provide moisture into the hair. It contains many great ingredients such as, olive oil which penetrates
the hair cuticles and helps deposit moisture, avocado which helps promote hair growth and stop hair loss, shea butter to aide with dryness and a host of other oils and hair vitamins that all helps to stimulate growth and maintain moisture.  This product is creamy and coats the hair rather nicely and helps with the detangling process as well.

•  Butter Than Love Pudding has aloe barbedensis leaf juice, castor oil, and shea butter in it.  It is free of harsh chemicals and is also fragrance free.  This butter helps by providing moisture without
weighing the hair down, so it is ideal to use when layering products and is great for wash’n’gos as well as twist-outs and braid-outs. I love the fact that it is light weight and that a little bit of the
product goes a long way.

•  Get Set Hair Jelly has organic aloe juice, pro-vitamin B5, and even contains vegetable glycerin.  It is also Paraben, Sulfate and Silicon free. This styler instantly smooths away frizz and adds shine to the hair all while giving any style great definition. This product is ideal for wash’n’gos as it will help you maintain the style for many days and is also great for twist-outs and braid-outs with the definition it provides. It will say that the product does feel a bit sticky on the hands, but once you apply it to the hair it melts into the hair and doesn’t leave any residue.  This product will be a staple for me when I do my wash’n’gos. (More to come on that a little later,so stay tuned)
