Natural Hair Protective Hairstyle | feat. 15 Melbourne

It's definitely protective style season, so I wanted to bring you a super easy protective hairstyle that is actually two hairstyles in one.  You can go from a super easy protective up-do hairstyle during the week and then let it down for the weekend for a fun look. If you know how to flat-twist or twist, this will be the perfect hairstyle for you.

For this hairstyle I used 15 Melbourne's Organic Whipped Shea Butter in the Pink Grapefruit scent.  This light weight shea butter mix has a soft scent and literally melts into the hair when applying.  I love the fact that a little bit of the shea butter goes a long way and keeps your hair thoroughly moisturized which is vital during the cooler months when our hair tends to be a bit drier.

 

This organic whipped shea butter has a dual purpose because it works wonderfully on the hair, but also does a great job of keeping the skin moisturized as well.  I often apply the Bergamot & Geranium shea butter on my heels of my feet at night before bed and this helps to keep them from becoming cracked and dry during this time of year.

 

I have definitely been loving their products and would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a great shea butter mix that is ultra hydrating and moisturizing to the skin and hair.

#WinterFierce Holiday Curls Updo | feat. Entwine Couture

 

 

 

Hey Everyone,

 

I have recently teamed up with Entwine Couture to bring you my best #WinterFierce hairstyle.  With the Holidays right around the corner this would be the perfect time to rock your own natural in a #WinterFierce style in order to be the show stopper during any Holiday occasion.

 

In my Winter Fierce Holiday Curls tutorial, I take you from start to finish using only Entwine Couture products which are known for their hydrating and moisturizing properties. Act I Lathering Hair Bathe - Shampooed my hair using Act I of The Clique. This is a sulfate free and cleansed my hair without over-drying it.

Exotique Moisture Masque - I followed up and deep conditioned my hair with the newest product in Entwine's collection.  This product smells amazing and is a light masque that literally melts into the hair, making detangling a breeze.  *This is of my favorite deep conditioners of all time*

 

Afrodisia 9 Exotique Leave-in Hair Potion - I applied this leave-in into my hair which is a lightweight product that works well with other stylers and moisturizers.  It also aides in detangling and adds an extra layer of moisture into the hair.                                                                    Indulgently Luxe Exotique Butter Crème Hydrator - This product was applied throughout my hair to add more moisture and hydration to the hair which is very vital during the cooler months of the year.

 

The Manipulator Crème Jelle Styler - This product was applied next and it has moisturizing properties as well, but it is known for the definition it provides for any roller set style or flat-twist out or twist out hairstyle.

 

On The Edge Crème De La Mod - This product is a pomade that will help with keeping those edges laid.  It was used around my edges and provided the perfect amount of hold.

Flat-Twist Summer Hairstyle on Natural Hair

Hey Guys,

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite hairstyles to do during the summer.  It is super easy to create by doing flat-twists and will give you that cute and sassy style that you want to compliment any summer time look.

 To maintain the style I simply flat-twist the side of the hair every night only applying water and product when needed.  The hairstyle actually gets better the older it gets because it becomes more defined and elongated. I hope you like it!!!

Natural Hairstyle for Kids (Flat-Twist and Roller Set Hairstyle)

Hey Everyone,

I am bringing you another kid friendly natural hairstyle, that is actually ideal for those of any age including adults. 

This style is flat-twists and a roller set, but could be changed to cornrow if you are unable to flat-twist the hair.  The style takes roughly 30 mins to 1 hour to complete.  It should be done on freshly washed hair that has been air dried just a bit.  You can do it on soaking wet hair, but it may take the rollers longer to set.  The style should last up to about 1-2 weeks.
