Tiffany Nichols Design: The Makeup Social Pop UP Holiday Edition

Hello Everyone,

A few weeks ago I attended The Makeup Social Pop Up Holiday Edition here in Oklahoma City. This fabulous event was hosted by two fabulous makeup artists Ciara Amir www.ciaraamir.com and Michael Harris www.MichaelHarrisBeauty.com.

The event was held at Urban Roots www.urbanrootsokc.com which is in the Deep Deuce district and has a chill, lounge, urban feel to it. I absolutely love that spot, but back to the event. It was their 2nd annual Makeup Social event and this was certainly bigger and better. DJ Jotti Notch, was on the 1's and 2's; there were vendors, and open bar; plenty of eats and special treats; reps from Motives Cosmetics were there selling makeup, and of course the who's who in the Oklahoma City area were in the building. This event was sold out and everyone was dressed to impress. You would have thought it was a fashion show, not a makeup event. LOL!

Michael and Ciara did an awesome job hosting and presenting at the event. They touched on and did live demos on the following:

Properly applying Foundation *I was actually one of Michaels' makeup models for this portion*
Brushes (How and What to use)
Blush/Bronzers
Eyebrows
Lip Liners
Concealer and Setting it (Ladies stop using too much Ben Nye Banana Powder)
Creating a Smokey Eye

And the list goes on and on and on.

If you attended the event, I know you thoroughly enjoyed yourself (I know I did) and learned some tips to implement for your own flawless makeup applications. If you didn't attend, make sure you are present for the next one, which will be held something this coming spring/summer 2014. You definitely want to make it a ladies night event and come dressed to impress.
